Christmas at Country Folk Gifts, Part 2, 2019

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!
I am so happy that you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog....

Today, I will be sharing Part 2 of our trip to Country Folk Gifts in Nescopeck, Pa.

But first I want to Thank Kathy, over at A Delightsome Life, for featuring my post, Christmas Home Tour and Number of Trees Reveal, from last week's Home and Garden Link Party!!
 Thanks so much, Kathy!!

I also want to Thank Marilyn, over at Marilyn's Treats, for choosing my post, Christmas in the Living room, Vignettes, as one of her feature from last week's Thursday Favorite Things Link Party!!
Thanks so much, Marilyn!!

Please stop by and link up to these great parties!!!

In my last post here in my Christmas Blog, I shared our friend's Anne Marie and Tony's home decorated for Christmas.....

A bit of history....

Country Folk Gifts is a 3 story barn located on a fully functioning farm that has been converted into a Home Decor and Design Center!

They shut down the last 2 weeks of October to decorate the entire place, including a Display House, for Christmas and reopen the first weekend of November.....

Yes, you read that right.....

A DISPLAY HOUSE!!!!!!

Where we left off was the 3rd floor of this 3 story barn that was turned into a Home Decor Center.....

This is what you see as you ascend the stairs to the 3rd floor....
Lanterns....
A bistro table and chairs.....
This is the ceiling for the barn.....
It really looks quite magical in person!!
This little room is set up as a Bistro.....
And that completes our tour of the main shopping area......

But we are not done as they have the Display House!!!!
That is right!!!

A sweet little house that is set up as if someone lives there and you are able to buy anything inside of this house too!!!

On the front porch.......
You can see the farm land that surrounds Country Folk in this picture of the gazebo!!
When you enter the display house, you walk into what must have been an enclosed porch.....
Then you walk into the Kitchen......
On the Kitchen side of the staircase......
The Living and Dining Area of the display house.....
There are 3 bedrooms upstairs.......
I love this one.....
Then we walk down the hall to the Bathroom, which is always done up spectacularly!!
This si a little room off the bathroom which I think was a closet.....
The Master Bedroom.....
And this is another little room off the Master Bedroom which I also think was once a closet....
I do love the colors of the walls in this house.....

The woman who is the buyer for Country Folk, whom I have spoken to for years, says that at the end of January she will be going down to Atlanta, I believe, to all the decor and design shows and will be picking out what will be ordered for next Christmas .......

I guess it never ends for them......

I think I would be okay with that though since I truly love Christmas......

I still have one more post that I want to share here on my Christmas Blog before I return to regularly posting back on my regular Blog, Debbie-Dabble Blog......

I have a Christmas Bucket List......

No, it is not a list of things that I want to do before I die in the traditional sense of what you think is a Bucket List but it is a list of places I would like to go and things I would like to do at Christmas time......

There are a lot of local events and places to see right here where I live that I have never had the time to partake in and last year, I made a list of them......

Going to see Country Folk Gifts at Christmas in one of them and will be on that list yearly....

Attending Trans Siberian Orchestra's concert yearly is another one.......

I did get to cross off one other thing on that list this year as I have seen it advertised for several years and it is only 10 minutes away from where we live!!!

The Hudson Model Railroad Club Train Display.......

Hudson is a little town and ironically , when Joe worked in The Silk Mill prior to working for the U.S. Postal Office, it was in Hudson...

This display is FREE but they do ask for a donation and is a Hidden Gem here in our area.....
So I hope you will come back for my next post here when I showcase this amazing train display!!!

Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

If you do not have a blog, PLEASE  give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment.  If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......

  1. I have really enjoyed all your Christmas posts! I love that display house. I wish I could have a second house just for display, along with that buyer's budget! We have a wonderful train display near us, too. The Rutherford B Hayes museum hosts a railroad club at Christmas who set up a big display in their lower level. We used to take our older grandkids every year. Maybe next year we can take the next "crop".

  2. Deb, that shop is just delightful. Wouldn't you love to have that job of buying for Christmas? I wish I had a bedroom that was a neutral color so I could decorate the bed with all those beautiful Christmas linens. Maybe I should put that on my to-do list!..Hope you are enjoying the new year so far..xxoxJudy

  9. This place looks incredible!! Christmas time is my favorite, and I love to go to places all done up like this. For the last several years, my Christmas colors have been cranberry, gray/silver, dark green and white, and I've gotten frustrated that I haven't been able to find too many decorations and such in these colors - now I see from this post that I am searching the wrong way - I need to go with a "country Christmas" search for inspiration. Thank you!!
