Anne Marie's House at Christmas, 2019

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!
I am so happy that you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog....

Happy New Year to you and your family!!!!
If you missed my post over on my regular Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Blog.........
Reviewing my One Little Word for 2019 which was FOCUS, please click HERE..........

2019 was a horrible year for me and many of my family members and we are glad it is over......

I am looking forward to the New Year and the new decade and will soon be revealing what My One Little Word for 2020......

BUT, I have a few more posts about Christmas so I will still be posting here on my Christmas Blog for another week or so......

Today, I am pleased to be sharing our dear friends Anne Marie and Tony's home decorated for Christmas.....

I have shared their home in the past but not for quite some time......

Joe and I were able to visit them this year at their home in Scranton, Pa.

Anne Marie loves the Victorian style and both Tony and Anne Marie love to go antiquing, often to New York...

They have some amazing new pieces that I can not wait to show you!!

We will start in the Dining Room......
The hutch.....
Anne Marie chose a silver and white theme for her Christmas decorations this year, incorporating her many antique and vintage pieces......

Look at this lovely silver candelabra!!!!
 Anne Marie loves silver pieces.....
Stunning, aren't they????
The top of the hutch....
On the side of the hutch is a wash stand.....
With a charming bowl and pitcher......
Over in the opposite corner of the Dining Room is Tony's Grandfather Clock.......
And a Victrola!!
The fire place mantle......
Anne Marie did a stained glass treatment on those windows!!
Beautiful!!
To the side of the fire place.....
Another silver tree and a funeral basket filled with white and silver florals.......

On the buffet......
Love this!!
Anne Marie always has her Dining Room table set and does beautiful tablescapes.....
This Christmas tablescape does not disappoint......
Let's go into the Living Room now.....

I forgot to take a photo of the silver tree in this corner as you enter the Living Room from the Dining Room.....
An antique phone box and where they do keep their actual phone!

An antique chair......
Displayed on the chair.....
A new lamp that I haven't seen....
The TV Entertainment Center......
Silver and white is also the theme in this room......
I am going to let the photos do the talking......
This doll is actually a lamp.....
In front of the Entertainment Center is a crib that I bought at a church flea market and gave to Anne Marie.....
Tony sanded it down and stained it.....
And will you look at this magnificent piece!!!!
WOWZA!!!!
Anne Marie's Mother played both the piano and organ and was a cantor and in the choir at her church so music was always very important in her family...
Anne Marie also sings at Mass at Saint Ann's Basilica in Scranton, Pa.
Do you see the pedal on the organ????
The bird cage that Anne Marie always wanted.....
Love those table linens.....
And another beautiful piece.....
A side by side Secretary......
Pieces of Italian pottery.....
 Love those eggs.....
Looking towards the front door.....
Tony painted the stripes on this wall.......
Love this hall tree.....
 Vintage fur stoles.....
A violin......
The typewriter was a gift from Tony.....
Another silver tree....
On a table by the stairs.......
But it isn't a table because when you open the door in front.....
It reveals a safe!!

Anne Marie bought this piece for Tony as a gift.....

At the end of the hall on another table is an antique dome that they liked but contained a rather ugly doll that they tossed......
The sofa table......
Anne Marie and I frequently use pictures of what I call "Instant Relatives", meaning we bought them at flea markets or Antique shops.....
The women in these photos are wearing fur stoles like those that Anne Marie displayed on the Hall Tree......
The picture of the 3 men are actually Anne Marie's relatives!
This is actually a picture of Anne Marie's Mother's First Holy Communion class......
On the coffee table......
And we got to meet this little sweet heart......
Autumn!!!
She is a mini poodle.....
Cute beyond belief!!

Tony and Joe......
Joe found a new Buddy......
We had a great time visiting our friends and realized that we need to get together more often....

Anne Marie changes up her Christmas decorations sometimes from year to year......

I hope you enjoyed seeing their stunning home......

But the Holiday Season was still not quite over yet for us as we celebrated New Year's Eve and New Year's Day with our sons and daughter-in-law....

On New Year's Eve, we had shrimp, scallops, lobster tails that Joe made......
And chicken tenders for our son Joey who does not eat fish.....
I think I have had these butter warmers for lobster tails for 40 years.....
For New Year's Day dinner, we had lasagna and Italian Garlic bread.......
And paying one last homage to this year's Christmas Season, I set a table for New Year's Day using my Old Curiosity Shoppe dishes......
And my depression glass ruby red tumbler's....
These are lenox charger plates that I bought at a church flea market.....
I always think that at Christmas, the scenes on these plates remind me of Charles Dicken's Scrooge.....
I also like to use them in the Den China Cupboard for St. Patrick's Day....
I only have 3 of the plates with the clock on so I used these for the other 2 place settings.....
The flatware was bought at Wegman's on clearance.....

In my next post here on this Blog, I will be continuing my Tour of Country Folk Gifts, showcasing the 3rd floor.........
 And the Display House!!!!
And I also will be sharing a great Train Display that Joe and I saw in a future post.....
On my regular Blog, I will soon be revealing what My One Little Word is for 2020!!!

I  hope you will stop by to visit again soon!!

  4. Oh, those silver Christmas trees bring back memories of my childhood! I was a kid/young teen when those trees were in fashion the first time around. My mom decorated with pastel ornaments and there was a revolving spot light aimed at the tree that changed colors from red to blue to green. My very earliest memories of Christmas were of fat but short (maybe 5 ft. tall) real trees in the corner of a living room in an old mansion cum boarding house where we had a big backyard and held most of the first floor. There was a living room with a sleeper sofa where my parents slept, a large bedroom where me and my younger sisters all slept, a large kitchen, and a tiny bathroom consisting of a toilet, shower and sink. My mother used to give us baths in the large old farmer's sink in the kitchen, LOL! Like lots of families in the 1950s, we were poor but we didn't know it, we were too young. We just had lots of fun and got into lots of mischief. Christmas was always a magical time.
