Christmas in the Den, China Cupboard, Part 2, 2019

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!
I am so happy that you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog....

Today, I will be sharing the other half of our Den, mainly the china cupboard......

In my last post, I shared the first half of our Den........
Click HERE if you missed that post....

This is where we left off......
I will be sharing Nelson Crest, my Victorian Doll House, in another post......
This is where the Kitchen window was before we made, what was a porch, into another room and called it the Den.....
This is how it looks from the Kitchen side....
Underneath the window is a chair.....
And next to the chair is the china cupboard.....
My neighbor gave me this and I refinished it.....
I did change a few things up here this year as I passed on some decorations to family at the end of last Season!!
Let's start on top of the china cupboard......
This year I replaced the picture that normally hangs here with this Christmas Tree Farm sign that I bought at Big Lots....
I admire the Farmhouse look in other people's homes but it is not for me ....

However, I did fall in love with that sign......

In keeping with the burgundy, ivory and blue theme of the room and also for the Christmas decorations.......
A burgundy feather tree and a blue and burgundy bottle brush tree......

An Ice House and sleigh riders.......
Vintage deer.....
Burgundy poinsettias......
An old World styled Santa under a glass dome.......

My Thomas Kinkade Calendar.......
On the side of the china cupboard......
 On a small table......
A Victorian style feather Tree that this year, I placed inside of my red transferware soup tureen......
I used to pack that tureen away every year .....Why???  I could not tell you because I love the Tree in the tureen!!!

It is topped with a vintage topper that topped the Tree that I had in my bedroom as a kid!!!
I bought the 1950's Children ornaments at Michael's many years ago!!!

I call them that because they remind me of children in the 1950's!!
Look at the boys in the Indian and Cowboy suits!!
2 Victorian caroler ornaments sit on the table........

The Tree is lit with battery operated fairy lights!

On the floor are 2 Bearington Bears.....
I kept blue transferware dinner plates and 3 red transferware sugar and creamer sets inside the china cupboard as I passed on the Christmas plates that I used in here before......

I will let the pictures do the talking......

The first shelf......
The middle shelf....

And the bottom shelf.....
There are battery operated puck lights that light up this cupboard.....

Lace scarves hang on the door of the cupboard along with angel.......
Displayed on 2 vintage suitcases.......
Again, I will let the pictures do the talking.......
The dark red and green house is new this year as I just bought it in Gabes......
This will be staying this way for the Winter as I will remove the Christmas items and replace them with snowmen and Winter birds......
On the side of the china cupboard......
I just bought this star topper for this Tree that I found last year in my neighbor Elly's attic when cleaning out her home for her son's.....
I loved this star and I will be able to keep it on the Tree for the Winter......
I decorated this Tree with simple white mitten ornaments and it has a set of battery operated lights on it.....
And this is my red truck offering for this Christmas Season!!

I bought it last year and I have used it under my Autumn Tree as part of the Pumpkin Patch!!!
For me, the red truck is more symbolic for the Fall and Harvest Season......

Now don't get me wrong, I am sure if I had one more room that I could decorate, it would most likely be decorated in a Farmhouse style but you know I am a Victorian soul at heart!!!
That lovely flocked tree was just bought in Gabes for a mere $9........

And I have an Old World Santa dressed in burgundy at the helm of the truck!
After Christmas, the Santa will be put away and another tree will be added to the truck for Winter......
I forgot to mention that the Tree in the galvanized bucket is resting on a vintage blue and white speckled enamelware pot......
And that completes my tour of the Den decorated for Christmas......

On a more personal note, our dear friends Anne Marie and Tony visited with us on Sunday afternoon.......

I set a simple tablescape......
We ordered pizza and boneless chicken bites.......
Hence, setting the table with only one fork......
The Christmas Tree dessert plates are actually Corelle plates that I bought at a Flea Market!
I also served cookies, nut roll, fudge and candy bark that I made.....
We had a lovely afternoon......

Anne Marie was kind enough to gift me this beautiful white and gold cardinal....
I loved it and this is where I put it.......
Overlooking the Dining Room table for the Holidays.....
After all, they say a visit from a Cardinal is a actually from a Visitor from Heaven...
I would like to think that this beautiful white cardinal symbolizes the family members we have lost, looking over our family's Holiday celebrations.....
Anne Marie also gifted me this Cynthia Hart Victorian Calendar which I have not seen in years!!!
I was thrilled because I thought it was out of print!!!!

And a luscious smelling candle!
And she knows how I love to use battery operated lights!!
Thanks so much, Anne Marie, my dear friend!!

Now you will get a bit of a chuckle out of this.......

Joe bought this shirt to wear to work at Wegman's WITHOUT wearing his glasses........
He thought the S was a J.........

I thought he was trying to tell me something!!!!
 Single and Ready to Jingle!!!!

The manager at Wegman's got the biggest laugh out of it when Joe advised him not to go shopping without his glasses!!!!

I will be sharing Nelson Crest in another post as I have finished my Christmas Home Tour of the inside of our house, except for Nelson Crest......
In my next post I will finally be sharing the outside of our house decorated for Christmas.......
We had gotten some snow about a week ago that covered up most of the decorations in the yard, preventing me from taking pictures!!
Doesn't the snow on the bushes look like my angel spread it's wings?????
I had to wait until it melted to take pictures.....

So I hope you will stop by to visit again soon!!

Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

  4. Wow, I can't get over how many decorations you have for Christmas! I've been wanting to get my own little Christmas town collection going but I have to wait for the girls to get older - they still like to break things.
