Christmas in the Powder Room, Christmas Home Tour 2015

Welcome to Christmas in the Powder Room.

For several years now, I have decorated the Powder Room with Snow Buddies and in a Blue , White and Silver color theme.

This year is no different but I did add a few new things....

This is the wreath that I made for the door......
I added a bit more silver florals to it this year.....
Above the door way......
An Angel rests on the door frame....
Immediately to the left when you walk into the Powder Room......
I turned the lights off because there was too much glare but please remember that since I live in a townhouse, there are no windows in this room which is in the center of the house.......
Snow Buddies, Silver Candlesticks and a white crocheted Tree sit on a shelf.....
This is how it looks with the lights on.....

Another angel hangs from the ceiling and a slate hangs under the shelf...
A lot of the decorations in this room stay up all Winter long....
I like the reflection of the slate in the medicine cabinet mirror!!
I am able to use the top of the medicine cabinet for display.....
 Greenery, silver and white Trees.......
And Snow Buddies!!
  And with the lights on....
   Next to the Medicine Cabinet.....
I replaced the pictures in these frames with Christmas cards....
Over the toilet is a shelf unit......
 On the side of it......
Top shelf.....

The bottom shelf pays homage to Joe's favorite AHL and NHL Hockey Teams.......

The Wilkes Barre-Scranton Penguins and the Pittsburgh Penguins!!
The Quote on the Snow Buddy figure says " Penguin Hockey"!!
And there are a few more penguins on this shelf!!

Below the shelf ......
You may remember that this is one of 3 similar ornaments that I bought at Michaels this year.....
I bought 2 of these white crocheted Trees several years ago and I added silver trim along with 2 Snow Buddy pins!!
In the corner.....
Tree #10!!
Above the Tree.......
I love using Bows as Toppers for Trees and I made this bow out of 2 different types of ribbons.....
I have tucked white Buffalo Snow into the Tree to look like snow along with some glittered greenery.....

You may have noticed that the Tree is wired right into the top shelf of the etagere!!
It is also wired to the tole tray behind it so it does not fall over as the Snow Buddy ornaments are heavy.......
There are also blue berries tucked into the Tree , along with silver ornaments, icicles and snowflakes.....
It is lit with one set of blue and one set of cool white battery operated LED lights.....
The sweater like Tree Skirt was bought at Target last year for 70% off after Christmas!!
More Snow Buddies and an ornament under the Tree......

On the shelf under the Tree is a Snow Village that I also bought at Target, only it was several years ago......
I like to use ornaments in other ways than hanging on a Tree as you can see the blue house which is an ornament!
Next to the etagere.......
Even though I sound like a broken record, this Church is also from Target a few years ago!!
Santa ornaments hang from the sides....
I decided to display the blue beaded garland that I no longer use on the Tree, here on the bottom shelf with some ornaments......
Almost looks like water and ice......
Can you tell I like to use shelves????
Old Home Interiors Shelves that I spray painted black are on each side......
On each shelf is a Santa......
Hanging from the shelf are a few ornaments including a Vintage Shiny Brite ones.....
Greenery and a bow on each sconce below each shelf.......
This picture is an old Home and Garden Party one.......
I bought these silver mercury glass owls last year on Clearance after Christmas at J.C. Penney's and I have used them in a Winter display last season, for Halloween in the Dining Room and now in the Powder Room......
On the shelves......
Top shelf......
The Snow Buddy on the left says " Remodeling" and the one on the right says, " Charge!"
The candles are battery operated emergency candles that I bought at The Dollar Tree and have a blue light when lit!!

On this shelf, the Snow Buddy to the far left reminds me of my Mom who used to always have a bucket of "Ammonia Water" to clean with.
Next to that one is one that says" Shopping", another that says " Tea Party" and the one on the far right with his tool belt on reminds me of my Dad who was a Carpenter by trade!!

All the Snow Buddies on this shelf have special meaning to me.......
Q Tips and Cotton Balls are kept in the silver sugar bowl and creamer.....
And above the closet where the washer and dryer is a swag that I made.......
And that is how the Powder Room looks this year........
Next up on our Christmas Home Tour is the Kitchen......
And Tree # 11!!

  5. Love the contrast between the icy blue theme and cosy red theme as you scroll through the pics, the amount of work (well, I know you enjoy it,so its play, really!) is just jaw-dropping! I'll let you into a dreadful secret...I have not put one decoration up yet!! : o But we are doing all of it at the week end, I rather like to keep it later then feels so very Christmassy.
    Hugs!

  6. Oh my this is amazing, it is so pretty in there I would feel like I shouldn't use the room for what is intended :) Wow you have quite the snow buddy collection, my mother in law has bought me a couple over the years since I collect snowmen! Love those crocheted trees they are so pretty, and love your little village display under the tree. I never thought of displaying things above my medicine cabinet that is so pretty, the whole room is just lovely!
