I have finally left the house !! It is the first day since Christmas Eve!! All because of that intestinal flu!
I went to Micheal's first and picked up this cutie at 60% off...
But what I really wanted was this after reading about all of you in Blogland using fake snow to create your own flocked trees and wreaths.....
Got 3 cans for $1.39 each!
Then I hit Target and all Christmas was 75% off. Not to much left but I managed to snag some goodies...
Scented pine cones .... $1.00!
Bright Pink Tinsel wreath ( will match in the guest Room)....75 cents!
Tubes of Shatter Proof Balls !! 8 in a tube for........25 cents each!!!!
I bought 10 tubes!! I plan on adding them to my garland outside and the wreaths that I hang on the windows next year!!!
Another idea from all of you out there in Blogland who sung the praises of Shatter Proof Balls!
I can even use those red balls on a Valentine's Day tree of 2 or in a glass bowl..........
Trims for crafts...... Check out the white fur one!
Butterfly ornaments clips!! I am thinking for an Easter or Garden tree??????
And a silver tinsel tree for 2 bucks!!
I know, another tree....
it is a sickness...
what can I tell ya????
Okay, I am HAPPY now!!

Isn't it fun to snag some fun stuff at cheap prices? :-)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful New Year's Eve and 2011.
Great finds! Glad to hear you are up and around and out again!
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie ... So happy to hear you're feeling better and out hitting the stores! Great finds and great deals! To answer your question re: Boxing Day ~ To my knowledge it started many years ago during Queen Victoria's reign. The day after Xmas the wealthy folk would gift their servants and underlings with boxes of stuff (ie - foods and small trinkets). It is a statutory holiday here in Canada and the day when the best deals can be found for shopping. People will line up for some deals in the wee hours of the morning but the savings are worth it! My neices hit the malls every year at 7:00 a.m. and say the sales are fabulous. You couldn't get me out to another store the day after Christmas. Happy New Year to you! I hope I've helped you out! xox
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie, I found your blog on the My Romantic Home link party. You're my kind of shpper, I too like to find bargains after the holidays. I snapped up some Christmas ornaments on sale that I'm actually going to use for Fall! I'm having my first link party called Masterpiece Monday, on my blog, Boogieboard Cottage, this Monday and I would love it if you linked up your bargains!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Mary :O)
Wishing you a very Happy New Year!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat finds, I love the tinsel tree. Glad to hear that you are feeling better and over this nasty flu bug. It is definitely going around everywhere.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year and happy you are feeling much better.
