It's Beginning to look a Lot like Christmas!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!

In the stores that is!!

I bought my first ornament of the season in Micheal's the other day!!

It is part of the Velvet and lace collection of ornaments!
I love the name.... Velvet and Lace!!

I love vintage looking skater ornaments, don't you?

There is another style similar to this one so I will be going back for that one too!!
I use my 40% off coupons to but each ornament. Takes it down from $5.99 to $3.60!

I know, I'm cheap!

While I was at Micheal's, I decided to take some photos of the Christmas decorations that they were putting out.

All of the ornament collections are already on display!!

Please click on photos to enlarge to get a better look at all of these beauties!! Then click one more time to enlarge them even more!!

I'll be going back for those Victorian doll heads!!

And they have out a Village display!!

And garlands....

And wreaths and reindeer....

And velvet poinsettias in all colors....

And look at these luscious beauties.....
I am trying to figure out where and how to use those green ones...

More floral....

Houses to paint and a lot of other things to play with....

And they were just creating these displays but I thought they were fantastic!!

Brown , gold and copper.......

Love those cherub like angels!!!

Love that brown and pink angel!!!

The I went to T.J.Maxx....

Look at those darling little mica covered snowmen!!!

And my good friend , Ginger, from Glitter and Roses just bought these pink poinsettia dishes!!

Love those carolers!!

  1. I love your vintage skater ornament. SO cute!!

It's hard to believe that it's time for the stores to be putting up their Christmas displays again. I mean, WHERE did this year go? It seems to me that winter just ended (which, in fact, it kind of did, since it didnt' get nice here until the end of the first week of June!!). So, I'm still in summer mode, and I can't wrap my mind around the fact that Christmas is two and a half months away.

Hope you're having a lovely week. (I'm so glad that I can at least keep up with you through this blog.)

    Love,
    Patti

  3. Hello Debbie! That skater ornament is so cute! Loved all the pictures. I have always loved looking at the Christmas displays in the stores. Our Target several years ago decorated trees and they were donated to organizations in town. The trees were beautiful. with different themes. Sadly, they no longer do that. Menard's decorates trees and they are for sale, ornaments and all. I always love the victorian theme trees.
I just love hearing the Christmas music on this blog. Gotta love Bing's White Christmas.
Hope you are having a wonderful week!

  6. Debbie, you crazy girl.....I can hardly get into fall and you've jumped to Christmas!!!!!LOL If I was smart like you I would get out now and get the best choices. Last year it all sold out and stores did not reorder because of the economy!

  8. Ok, I've got to make another run to Michaels! I LOVE the decorations; especially the doll heads! Too bad we didn't have a TJ Maxx here because I would be sure to go grab some of those lovely poinsettia dishes; love them! Girl, I wish you and I could go shopping together for an afternoon! Wouldn't it be fun? Have a wonderful weekend, my friend.

    Blessings,

  13. Debbie,
Hi! My name is Hannah. I just found your blog and think I'm in love!! LOL! My sister and I absolutely adore Christmas! And yes, the presents are nice, but it's truly about the "spirit". I love putting out the decorations, setting up the tree and decorating it, making sugar cookies for Santa (even though I'm 18 and my sis is 16!), Christmas Eve service then driving around to look at Christmas lights after!!! Spending the morning at home until ohhhhh maybe 8 (we still get up at like 5 to do the tree!! Mom hates it!!) then not getting home until probably 10pm and still have all the mess to pick up!

Everything about it is glorious! Talking about it makes me soooooo excited!

This year is going to be a little different. I'm a freshman in college this year, so I won't be home until Dec. 17th : ( I go home weekends, but it's still not going to be the same. I'm SO excited that I'll be home a month though *grin* Lots of time to spend with family and old friends home on break *crossing fingers*

I've just talked myself right into following your blog because any talk of Christmas raises my mood tremendously!! And sometimes I really, really need a boost here at school : /

Thanks a bunch! Hope to talk to you soon!!
    Hannah
