Christmas Crafting, September's Rudolph Day 2022

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!

Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!

I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!

The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....

Just a reminder, I will be NOW posting 3 times a week on my regular Blog, Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

On Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday!!!

REMEMBER TO CLICK ON PICTURES IF YOU WISH TO ENLARGE THEM!!!

HAPPY RUDOLPH DAY!!!!!

I know...

It is the 24th instead of the 25th but I did not want to change up my posting schedule so I am a day early!!

Rudolph Day is celebrated the 25th of each month......

When I find the time to post on Rudolph Day, it will be about something having to do with Christmas no matter what time of the year it is...

Today, I will be sharing more Christmas Crafting that I have been doing....

But first, I want to Thank Bev, over at Eclectic Red Barn , for choosing my post, Early Fall Front Porch and Yard,  as one of her features from last week's Thursday Favorite Things Link Party!!!!

Thanks again, Bev!!

And I also want to Thank Allyson, over at Southern Sunflowers, for choosing my post, Early Fall Front Porch and Yard, as one of her features from last week's Home Matters Link Party!!!

Thanks so much, Allyson!!!

Please stop by and link up to these charming parties!!!

In my previous post over on my regular Blog, Debbie-Dabble blog. I shared my "Elegant Autumn" Tree...

Yes, I keep several Seasonal Trees up year round.....

I will be sharing the rest of the Living Room decorated for Fall next TUESDAY over on my regular Blog, Debbie-Dabble Blog....

The last Rudolph Day post I did was in July where I shared a Christmas Craft project that was several years in the making....

When we were cleaning out my neighbor Elly's home for her sons after she passed away, I found this Kit in one of her back bedroom closets where she stored all her craft projects...

I was thrilled to have been able to finish it for her!!!

Once again, our Christmas tradition of seeing Trans Siberian Orchestra Live in concert continues.....

In 23 years of touring, I have only missed seeing them 3 times....

I even downloaded the show that they did during the Pandemic and could not go out on tour in 2020....

And the nice part is that I get to see TSO at our Arena which is 5 minutes from our house!!

It is not Christmas until I see TSO!!!

I have been working on more Christmas Crafts  that I wanted to get done.....

I bought these paper mache "House" boxes at Michael's many years ago on Clearance....

I painted them white a few years ago and there they sat....

In a box....

Until a few weeks ago....

I drew, rather rough looking, windows and a door with a permanent marker on them....

I glued the roof lids on to the bottom part....

I did not take pictures of the process of what I did to these houses.....

But I added things I had in my stash to them like garland, mini bottle brush trees and wreaths....

Snow man and deer stickers.....

I then used Modge Podge on the roofs and sprinkled mica flakes on top to look like snow....

Then I glued pieces of buffalo snow to the chimneys to mimic smoke....

I am happy with how they came out....

While browsing Pinterest, I saw this sweet snowman made from cans!!

Source unknown

This is my version.....

Yep, I added a bit more to mine!!!

LOL!

I embellished his hat with stickers.....

And added garland, mini ornaments and florals to the clay pot saucer that is the base of his hat!!

I painted on his face using a permanent marker as my hands are not steady enough to use actual paint and a brush.....

I found a toggle button in my stash of vintage buttons and used that for his nose.....

I glued a piece of mini garland around the area where I glued the hat to the head part!!!

I used ribbons for a scarf....

Mini garland in the middle section and vintage buttons that were my neighbor Elly's....

I found out that he was a bit top heavy because of using the clay pot saucer for the hat so I decided to glue him to a wood base that I had....

This worked and stopped him from falling over!!!

Now you know that I could not just let that base alone without adding something to it....

So I decided to use what I had and create a little Winter scene!!!

I also added snowflake stickers to the body....

I think he turned out looking pretty cute!!

Several years ago, I bought 6 of these white trees at Dollar Tree....

After seeing many Bloggers and numerous pictures on Pinterest showing how to use these to make snowflakes, I wanted to give it a try....

This was my Inspiration photo......

Click HERE for the Tutorial on how to make these snowflakes.....

This is how my Dollar Tree snowflake came out.....

I added pieces of gold branches that I had bought on Clearance for 90% off at Michael's some years ago....

I made this bow from scrape pieces of ribbon....

I may change it after I get out my Christmas decorations as I have other bows that I could use....

Not sure where I will use this but you know that I will find a place....

And one last little project that I did.....

Joe bought this green velvet like tree in Big Lot's for 90% off....

It was under a Dollar!!!

I got out a container of fake snow that I had and painted it on the tips of the branches....

Much better I think.....

I am so glad that I was able to get some of the bigger Christmas craft things that were taking up room in my craft closet done and out of the way.....

I do have some other things that I want to work on so I hope to find time to do so as I am just about done decorating the inside of the house for Fall/Halloween.....

 And.....

Once I finish the Fall/Halloween decorating downstairs, I do start decorating for Christmas upstairs so I will be back on October 25th with another Rudolph Day post and hopefully after that, I will start to post regularly for the Holiday Season here on this blog....

On TUESDAY, I will be posting back on my regular Blog, Debbie-Dabble Blog, and will be sharing the rest of my Living Room decorated in an "Elegant Autumn" theme for Fall....
