I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

A Blue, Blue Christmas Powder Room

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!

I want to mention that since Blogger changed to a new format for posting, if you can click on each picture if you care to enlarge it......

Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!

I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!

The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....

I know I was supposed to share the upstairs Sitting Room with you now for 2 posts.....

This is why I once again will be putting it off until my next post......

I finished packing up all the Fall decorations from the Living Room except for the Tree.....

And until I can get them all back up the attic, I have the Fall/Halloween decorations from the Kitchen stored in the Sitting Room.......

Until I get the living Room decorations all packed up and put away, then the ones from the kitchen can go up as that will be the first room I decorate for Fall next year.....

So I am going to jump ahead and head downstairs and show you the Powder Room today......

This was the first room that I decorated in the downstairs this year.....

It is usually one of the last rooms I do but I did it on Halloween weekend.....

This is what it looked like before......

This is what it looks like stripped down to nothing and cleaned......

It takes on a completely different look for Christmas and Winter.....

I made this wreath for the door.......

And you may remember that I bought these skates at Big Lot's this year.....

I added Snow Buddy pins to each skate.....

This is the Winter swag that hangs above the door and the door corner angel that stays there year round......

The corner where the sink is......

This Powder Room changes from a pink, white and black color theme to a blue, white and silver one for the Winter months.....

When we remodeled the downstairs a few years back, I thought gray would be a neutral color to paint the walls......

Little did I know it would become the big color in Farmhouse Decor.....

On the wall on the side of the sink......

On the shelf on the wall.......

A blue Angel hangs above the shelf......

I decorate the Powder Room with my Collection of Snow Buddies for the Winter.....

This is one of a set of 4 silver lighted mercury glass trees bought at Sam's Club a few years ago......

A winter snow man picture hangs under the shelf for the first time this year as I decided to change some things around this year.....

Underneath the picture hangs a Christmas plate......

On top of the medicine cabinet......

More Snow Buddies.....

The sink......

On the side of the medicine cabinet are 2 silver picture frames that I put Christmas cards in......

A black wicker shelf unit above the toilet......

The silver finial was bought at J.C. Penney's and the silver deer was gifted to me......

The blue bottle brush tree was bought at Target......

More Snow Buddies on the bottom shelf......

Joe bought a set of dark gray towels at Ocean State Job Lot in the Summer and I thought they would be perfect to use with my blue Snow Man towels.......

On top of the toilet is another silver mercury glass tree and more Snow Buddies......

The Snow Man "place mats" were made for me by the woman who I used to run our Church's Craft Fair with......

In the corner, on the top shelf of the estagere.......

Is the Tree for this room.......

I hung a bow from the chandy that always hangs in the corner.......

This Tree is wired to the estagere and to the tole tray that hangs in the corner.....

It is decorated with Snow Buddy ornaments which are quite heavy......

 Blue berry picks.....

A few vintage ornaments....

Some silver ornaments...

Buffalo Snow tucked into the Tree....

And one set of white and blue battery operated icicle lights and one set of plain blue lights......

Underneath the Tree.......

More Snow Buddies!!!

A small village is set up on the shelf under the Tree......

Next to the estagere is a small round table......

On the top of it......

Another black shelf unit......

On Home Interiors shelves and sconces on each side......

The other 2 mercury glass trees.......

This year, I hung the blue slate Winter sign over here above this shelf......

On the top self are 2 silver mercury glass owls that I bought in J.C. Penney's a few years back and recently used in the Dining Room as part of my Halloween decorations......

I moved the Penguin's Hockey display to this shelf from the shelf above the toilet where I have set it up for years......

And on this shelf are some Snow Buddies that are special to me.....

I placed a Christmas card into a Dollar Tree frame that I spray painted white......

The silver creamer is used for Q Tips and the sugar bowl is used for cotton balls.......

Another Winter swag hangs above the closet that houses the washer and dryer......

A snow man ornament and 2 owls hang from it......

And a stocking that I embellished hangs from the knob on the closet door......

I hope you enjoyed seeing how I decorated the Powder Room for Christmas.......

I changed it up a little bit from other years.....

It will stay this way all Winter with removing the Christmas items and adding a few Valentine's decorations and Snow Buddies after Christmas.....

I promise that I will be showing you the upstairs Sitting Room in my next post!!!

So I hope you will stop by to visit again soon!!

Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!

  1. As always a joy to visit and admire your decorations. Its looking wonderful in all those blue and silver hues. The wreath was a delight and the addition of the ice skates really enhanced its beauty. Another stunning display.

  3. I love the Blue! It is just lovely. But I have to say that I am so obsessed by those adorable skates from Big Lots I can barely see the rest of the pretties. I wonder how I missed those last year? One of my favorite stores and we even have one in my small town.
