This is my 2nd post of the Season!!
In my previous post, I shared our trip to Boscov's to see what they had to offer for Christmas this year......
Click HERE if you missed that post......
Today, I want to share some of the things that I bought this year for Christmas decorating and also some things that I made.......
Here are some of my new Christmas Buys.........
Old World style Santa's.......
They were the amazing price of $7.99!!!!
They are about 12 inches tall and light up!!
They have several LED lights scattered through out the figurine and are battery operated......
I bought this owl to use as part of my Winter decorations in the Den......
It was $4.99.....
And these cute birds match a few more that I bought several years ago........
They will also be used as Winter decorations and were only $3.99....
And here is the best part...
I had earned $5.00 off of $25.00 as part of their Rewards Program so I saved an additional $5.00 off all of these items!!
I was thrilled when I found these pink and white poinsettias in Dollar Tree......
I bought several of these!!!!
And I bought 2 of these white tree ornaments, also at Dollar Tree.........
Joe picked up these in Bed, Bath and Beyond........
They are battery operated LED lit ornaments or they can stand on a table........
They were $9.99 each.......
It was autographed by the author at a previous book signing at the store!!!
I have watched HGTV's Christmas at the White House specials ever since the Channel came into being......
Boscov's is also now carrying a line of Fitz and Floyd Christmas with the First Lady items.......
These were decorations based on Nancy Reagan and Jackie Kennedy's decorations for the White House.....
Click HERE for a link to Boscov's online page for Fitz and Floyd featuring these items.....
I bought these items at Big lot's using $5.00 off of $15.00 coupons through their Rewards Program......
And I plan to use this deer out in the Den for Christmas......
I also bought these ornaments at Big Lot's......
This 3 pack of putz houses was only $6.00!!
I forgot to take a photo of them so I am using the photo from Big Lot's web site......
I will show you what I did with them a little later in this post.......
I also want to share some vintage Christmas cards that I found over at my neighbor's house that we take care of since she is in a nursing home........
Her sons said I could take whatever I wanted ........
She saved Vintage cards.......
I LOVE this pop up one......
I found it funny that it has a post office on it !! ( Joe retired as a Letter Carrier)
A few more.......
This one made me laugh!!!!
Isn't it cute??????
I also want to share some things that I made.......
For the past few years, I have hosted a family Christmas party for my sister's family and mine......
I wanted to make a "little something" for my great nieces and nephew last year so I decided to make Angel Picture Ornaments.......
I bought the angel heads at an estate sale and the angel wing ornaments at Big Lot's 2 years ago on Clearance......
I glued the head to the wings and placed photos of the kids in the center of each ornament.......
Above is Carly.......
On the left is Carly's sister, Cortney and her cousin, Madalyn is on the right......
This is Will, Madalyn's big brother.......
And Caitlin, Cortney's and Carly's sister......
I also made a few with photos of pets in the center for my niece's Heather and Lisa but I forgot to take pictures of those........
Before, I showed you the putz house ornaments that I bought at Big Lot's.......
I decided to glitter them up a bit with some pink glitter......
I wanted to add a bit of color to them......
I also added some glitter to the trees on the ornaments......
I will be beginning my Christmas Home Tour and you will see more of my Craft Room later......
I also painted a little glitter on this ceramic church......
And this old vintage putz house....
I hope you enjoyed seeing some of my new Christmas buys and a few Christmas crafts......
In my next post, I will start my Christmas Home Tour........
I will be sharing the upstairs of our townhouse first since I have had it decorated since the end of October.......
I will be starting with the upstairs hallway.......
And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
If you do not have a blog, PLEASE give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment. If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......

Aww, those vintage cards are so sweet. How are you going to display them? I have never figured out an effective way to do it. How lucky for you the sons said you could take whatever you wanted out of the lady's house! I'm sure the lady would be delighted knowing you are going to treasure what she collected! The Putz houses are adorable too. You got some cool finds during your shopping trip!
ReplyDeleteits starting to look a lot like Christmas....

Debbie, you found some great items! I do not need anything new, so I try to resist, but I just couldn't pass up some of the vintage looking deer I've ran across this year. I love vintage Christmas cards and these are darling!! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
