I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

More Christmas "Goodies" and a Project

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!
I know in my last post I promised to show you how I decorated the Master Bedroom for Christmas but time got away from me........

So today, I will be sharing a few more "New" Christmas goodies that I recently bought and some that I "acquired" and a little bit of a project..........

I picked up these things at Michael's...

They were 50% off with an additional 25% off because I had a coupon!!

A few ornaments......
The popsicle ornaments will be put away and used on my Summer Tree in the Craft Room......
The coffee cup will be used for Christmas in the Kitchen......

And I am thinking of using this cute ornament on a wreath in the Kitchen for Christmas.....
I could not resist buying this!!!!
Especially since Joe was a Letter Carrier for the United States Post Office.......

I love the patina on it......
I will use it outside on the front porch.......
I think it will go well with the red milk can that I was able to take from my neighbor Elly's house this past Summer........
In my last post over on my regular Blog, Debbie-Dabble Blog, I shared a few new things bought after Halloween......
And some things that came home with me from my neighbor Elly's when her sons unearthed more treasures from her attic while cleaning out her home to get it ready to sell.......
Including this beauty that I hope to fill with greenery and tie a bow on and use it outside in front of our home for Christmas and Winter this year.......
Click HERE if you missed that post.......

I also saved 3 Trees before her sons took them to Salvation Army......

If you have been out in any of the stores lately, I am sure you saw all the small trees in containers of every shape and size.......

These are a few from Michael's....

Big Lot's also has a bunch of smaller potted trees too!!

Here is the first Tree from my neighbor Elly's house......
I realized that I should have taken a before photo first......

It was a bit too "wide" for me so I decided to trim it using wire cutters.......
I cut about a 1/2 to 1 inch off of the ends of some of the branches......
I was doing this up ion our bedroom while catching up on some of the many shows I DVR in case you are wondering why it is on a bed...........

The bottom of the Tree was wrapped in burlap so I just placed it into this white crock like container, also from Elly's house.....
Here is a better look at the Tree......
I might use this in the Kitchen somewhere......
This is the 2nd Tree........
You can see it is a bit scraggly.......

And it has that large wooden base.....
I also gave it a bit of a trimming and placed it in this galvanized bucket that I bought over the Summer in Dollar General......
It fit tightly into the bucket......
I then covered the wood base with some burlap that I already had.......
And secured it by tying a bow with burlap ribbon around the base of the Tree.......
I liked the way it looked but I was not done yet......
I got out this chalkboard tape that I also had in my stash......
And I cut a piece and wrote "Christmas Tree Farm" on it.......
An artist, I am not but I think this will suffice for what I was aiming for!!!
 A better look......
Not too bad going from this......
To this......
And this is the last Tree......
It is a half Tree that you hang on a wall........
I just "fluffed" this one out a bit........

I am not sure where I will put all of them yet but I am sure I will find a place for them.........

It has been an interesting week......

First, I find out that my unit at work will be closing due to the cuts in Medicare for Acute Rehab.

I have worked as a Rehab Nurse for over 35 years and even though they intend to make my unit an acute Medical Surgical Ortho unit, I am not quite sure if at my age I want to go back to all that craziness so I may be looking at moving up my plans on having my knee replacement surgery....

My son Jim and his long time love Danielle, will be getting married!!  They have lived together for close to 10 years and are planning to get married by a Magistrate. I will have a simple family dinner here at home to celebrate once they let me know a date!!!

And I finally went for a post cancer check up 7 years after my 5 year Cancer Free anniversary and I am thrilled to say that I remain Cancer Free, 12 years after the initial diagnosis!!

So you can see I have had a week of low's and high's therefore falling behind in my planned posts.....

I am off now for a few days so I hope to get back on track with my Christmas posts.....

So I hope you will come by and visit  again!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
