I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

First Snow of the Season and more Sneak Peeks.....

I still become a kid again when we get the first snow of the season and that happened today....

But before I get to the SNOW, I want to THANK Kathy over at A Delightsome Life for featuring my post over on my regular Blog,  Debbie-Dabble , " It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas"  from last week's

Thanks so much Jody and Stan!! Again, I am so flattered! Be sure to stop by and maybe link up to Sweet and Simple Fridays!!

I also want to Thank Maria over at The Joyful Stamper for featuring my post Christmas Home Tour, Part one, The Outside of our Home from last week's Inspire Me Friday party !!

Thanks so much , Maria!! I am blushing!! Please visit and maybe link up to Inspire me Friday- Anything Goes Party!!
And I also want to THANK Kathy over at Life on Lakeshore Drive for featuring my post Christmas Home Tour, Part one, The Outside of our Home

from last week's Bouquet of Talent Sunday Party!

Thanks so much Kathy for this honor!! Please visit and maybe link up to A Bouquet of Talent Sunday Party!!

Now back to the snow.......

I had to run and take pictures especially of the outside Christmas decorations.....
Because Christmas decorations do look SO MUCH BETTER with SNOW!!!
This was just a clipper storm or nuisance  snow as they call them around here.  1-3 inches of snow but it started during the worse time of day , the rush hour in the morning.
I drove home from work on mostly slushy roads......

I do look forward to the day when I can enjoy the first and all snow of the season and I do not have to worry about driving in it.....

I love the snow on my chippy angel and my Christmas gnome!!

And I love how it sticks to the trees....

This is looking to the left of my front porch......

And  to the right of the porch......

And the back yard.......

UPDATE: November28-
When I came home from work the next morning, I had my camera ready . I thought I better take these pictures then because temps. in the 50's are predicted for us...

If this Winter turns out to be like last Winter, this may be  all the snow we will get...
I won't hold my breath on that though.....

Now I know I told you that I would be posting Part Two of my Home Tour soon but it has taken me much longer than I anticipated to decorate the downstairs and because of new furniture and different placement of furniture , I have been changing things up a bit so I should have the final touches completed on the Living Room ( I am STILL changing things around) by the end of this week .I hope to post Part Two, Our Living Room decorated for Christmas, soon so I hope you will stop back and visit....

Meanwhile, I have finished the Kitchen and am finished in the Den except for the Den tree and my Doll House. The Powder Room will be next and the downstairs will be finished....

So here are a few more sneak peeks for you......

I did decide to put this fine Gentleman out on the Front Porch to Welcome everyone...
Some peeks at the Kitchen....

And in the Den.....

And I thought I had better tell you that this is a picture of the garland on my stair rail.....
It is sort of a strange shot....

There is a story to this that only shows me how stupid I could be especially when I try to do something after coming home from working all night but you will have to come back at the end of the week to find out....

Then I will be able to tell you if it worked....

We also went to see Trans Siberian Orchestra on Sunday.  Out of the 13 years they have toured, we have only missed 2.  This year, the 14th year, they decided to change the Story that is the first part of the show...
The New Tour, The Lost Christmas Eve, was SPECTACULAR!!

Here is a video of a previous show....
Apparently Mixpod is now extinct so I have no Music to turn off when you click on the video.....

Anyone know of any other Music programs that we can dd to our  Blogs????????

  1. Debbie, I especially love your photos of the yard and the snow on your angel and Christmas gnome and on the bushes, since I grew up in snow country but we don't get snow here. Snow makes your yard a winter wonderland.

  2. Snow makes everything magical. Your decorations look especially lovely outside. I don't like driving in it, but I really do enjoy a good snowstorm. I've been eager to see more pictures. You never disappoint. Christmas hugs!

  3. Kim is right - snow is magical! She also said, as did you, that you don't like driving in it (me neither). We haven't had any snow yet but it has turned cold. Your decor is so gorgeous. Love the gingerbread on your kitchen tree. Love the beautiful decor at and above the kitchen window too. You are an interior designer extraordinare, Debbie!

  4. The snow looks great! We had flurries while it was dark out but rain as soon as it got light. I do know what you mean about driving in it:@)

  5. My daughter has been to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra several times and said it is just amazing, someday I want to go! Your Christmas decor looks so beautiful with all the snow cover. Your stairs are just gorgeous with the lit garland and lush bows. Can't wait to see your kitchen, mine is not finished...maybe I can get some inspiration when I see yours! Hugs, Penny

  6. Debbie, there is something so beautiful and magical with the first fresh snowfall. Love your pics and they bring back special memories of growing up in the north. We will not really see much of that here in Texas.
Your kitchen is a wonderfuland of Christmas. Love it all and the bowl filled with cookie cutters us darling.

If I get homesick for snow, I will be back to view your garden.

  8. Oh my oh my - I absolutely loved the bowl of vintage cookie cutters. It so reminds me of baking cookies with my sisters a long long long time ago. Your home is indeed touched with Christmas.
